This will not be a post filled with facts and statistics about women’s rights. Or a long discussion about the overturning of Roe v. Wade today. You already have access, you can find it easily on Google.

This comes from my deep-seated anger at people (mainly old men, with old views) once again telling women what they should and shouldn’t do with their bodies.

I don’t want you to tell me about abortion and how horrible it is. I don’t want to hear about how ‘weak’ the Roe v. Wade case was. Most abortions occur from horrible situations: rape, incest, the possible death of the mother (do not argue with me about which life matters more), and the list can go on.

I know that most women don’t just casually decide to have an abortion, willy-nilly out of the blue. It’s a heartbreaking, tortured decision.

What’s coming next will be the removal of birth control and let’s go further and get rid of ablations and hysterectomies while we’re at it. Because you know…a 40something woman who has ovarian cancer shouldn’t remove her life-giving organs to possibly live. We need to make sure that possible life is given ALL chances because God, Jesus, pro-life…without thought of the human being that is already alive.

To be clear, not all of you that are religious believe this. And, you are allowed to have your beliefs, just not at the expense of mine. I grew up in a cult, and am VERY familiar with the bible and its verses — I don’t want to see any in the comments.

I fear for our daughters and what this means for their future. It’s revolting to think that no man has to go through anything involving their reproduction organs being owned by their state, growing life, being hurt (both physically and emotionally) — and not allowed to heal in the best way for them (abortion) ever. And yet here they are again making the decisions for us.

I fear, as an ally, for my LGTBQ friends. You better believe they’re coming after their rights next. We fought so hard.

To any man reading this, I want you to know that I don’t hate men. I am just so sickened with the men in power making these decisions. Yet, they will never be the ones directly affected by them. I am also aware that there are massive amounts of extreme women pro-life supporters.

I’m in shock and despair. At a loss on how to fight this, other than voting which I already do.

We better find our red capes and white bonnets soon.
